Studio Space for Actors, Creatives and Professionals in Norwich
A studio is where practice lives – where thinking and making are not separate activities, and where the quality of conditions shapes the quality of what emerges. It is a space for what matters.
The Still Room is that tradition, applied across two communities that rarely share a room. Theatre makers, performers and creative practitioners develop their work here alongside businesses, facilitators and organisations who come for the conditions that focused professional work requires.
A calm, elegant and purposeful first-floor room at Keswick Hall – designed by William Wilkins for the Gurney family in 1817. South-facing, with garden views and a quality of light that people notice and remember. A short drive from Norwich city centre with ample free parking on-site.

Creative Studio
A studio held specifically for the work – where actors and creative practitioners can access a curated programme of residencies, intensives, workshops and creative sessions, book the space directly for rehearsals, development and making, and find an ambitious, unpretentious community of people who are committed to creative life here where they live.
Business Studio
A studio for professional life – where the conditions are right for serious work, clear thinking and genuine development. A community rooted in Norfolk, sharing knowledge, nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship and building something meaningful here where we live. A space for networking, away days and training, and a growing programme for those who take their professional life seriously and know the value of good conversation and genuine connection with the people around them.
Theatre Company
Sawtooth is a theatre company based at The Still Room. It brings together actors and practitioners with national careers – RSC, National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe – who live in the East of England and are committed to making serious new work in the region they call home.
What connects everyone who comes here is the room – and the belief that the right conditions change what becomes possible.
