The Still Room is a working studio on the edge of Norwich, ten minutes from the city centre, with free parking on site. It brings together professionals at every stage – people building something new, people with hard-won experience, and people who are here to learn and develop.
What connects them is the room, and a growing community where knowledge moves freely, businesses support one another, and professionals in Norfolk find the right conditions to do their best work.

The Still Room Start Up Series
A monthly morning for people at the start of their business journey and experienced professionals who have already made theirs.
For early-stage founders, each session offers direct access to practitioners who speak honestly about what they have learned – the decisions that mattered, the mistakes worth avoiding, and the questions worth asking early. The format is conversational, numbers are kept small, and the pace allows for proper exchange. Each session addresses a specific, practical question that founders consistently face.
For experienced professionals, it is an opportunity to mentor, to reflect, and to share what actually matters with people who need to hear it. Those who take part as practitioners regularly find it as valuable as those they are there to support.
Sessions take place on the second Thursday of each month, June to December 2026
The session runs from 8.30am – 10.30am but your ticket also includes access to The Still Room for the rest of the day until 4pm – to put what you’ve heard into practice, continue a conversation, or simply work in the space.

Book HereAway Days and Development
The Still Room is a considered environment for teams and individuals who want a day that actually achieves something. Away days, strategy sessions, training, coaching and CPD can all be shaped around the space – which accommodates up to 60 and can be configured to suit your session.

Where you need a speaker, facilitator or coach, we can help connect you with the right person. We can also explore how creative practitioners might bring a different dimension to your day – something that shifts the room in ways a conventional format rarely does.
The Speaking Space – Joseph Arkley
Nerves under pressure. Presence and body language. Voice and clarity. Quality of listening.
Joe brings twenty years of stage and screen craft to bear on the moments that matter most in your professional life – coaching business professionals to become clearer, calmer and more compelling in the presentations, pitches and conversations that count. Joe delivers sessions from The Still Room and can be booked directly via The Speaking Space website.

Coaches
We work with a small number of practitioners whose offer is genuinely well matched to the space and the people around it. If that sounds like you and you are looking for a space to work from, we’d welcome a conversation.
